Tennis Talk By Betty Olsen Preview of the Villager September 13, 2024 publication Now it is time to turn your attention to our Villages Mixed doubles tournament scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, September 28 & 29. Be sure to get your partner nailed down as soon as you can before someone else does. There will be only 2 draws: Mixed “A” and Mixed “B.” Hopefully we will have 8 teams for each draw. Mixed Doubles Signup And then, to celebrate all our Villages tennis skills, we have planned the Awards banquet for Sunday, October 6 at Foothill. We have planned a special catered Italian dinner consisting of: Italian salad with olives, tomato, artichoke hearts, cucumbers and Irene’s (GiGi’s Kitchen) white balsamic vinaigrette, chicken piccata with a lemon, butter caper sauce, braised short ribs on horseradish mashed potatoes and all vegetarian carrots, asparagus, cheese ravioli with marinara sauce, wine, beer, and ice cream for dessert.
