The annual Mixed Doubles club tournament is just around the corner, Saturday & Sunday, September 19 & 20. You must be inspired by watching the US Open, because as of today’s date, September 10, we have the maximum of 8 teams in the “B’s” and 7 teams in the “A’s.”
We are still accepting teams that register in the “B’s” as alternates because our experience is that someone is either getting injured or having to cancel at the last minute. We have one more slot for an “A” team, but would also like for alternate teams in case of injury or last- minute cancellations.
With 8 teams in both categories, everyone will have 3 matches. Using a compass draw means you keep playing whether you win or lose and each match brings you closer to other teams of your skill level. You will have 2 matches on Saturday and 1 match on Sunday.
As usual our hospitality chairman, Sonia Soin and her committee will have breakfast items for you in the morning and switch to lunch items later on both Saturday and Sunday. If you want to give Sonia some help, please give her a call or text, 669-238-6518.
Hopefully Mother Nature will cooperate with the weather, but in any case you don’t want to miss this club event either as a player or a fan in the stands.
